I like to think of Nashville as a mix between Austin & Fort Worth, as opposed to the bachelorette capital of the world. It's a truly a great spot to enjoy live music, great food, and revel in some good southern values.
FRIDAY
Biscuit Love - Start your trip off right with delicious homemade biscuits & fried chicken.
Country Music Hall of Fame - It's pretty big and can definitely take a few hours to get through, but the history of country music is so interesting! If you don't have the attention span for a two-hour museum, at least visit "The Mother Church of Country Music," The Ryman!
Hit up the Hatch Show Print next door and pick up a poster.
Wander up and down Broadway! Don't forget to stop by Goo Goo Shop and pick up a tasty chocolate snack.
Merchants or Husk for a nice dinner before hitting the town (make a reservation). If you want something more low-key, check out The Pharmacy Burger Parlor.
ACME - The multi-level bar has a dance floor on the roof. It also has my all-time favorite drink here: The Back Porch!
Tootsie's - Probably the most famous bar on Broadway, keep your eyes peeled for a country star playing a guitar on one of the upper-levels.
Wanna B's - Karaoke bar I may or may not frequent when I'm in town (and you don't have to be 21 to get in!).
The Stage - Great for live music and has a dance floor!
SATURDAY
Day trip to Franklin and experience one of the most charming towns I've ever been in! Start with grabbing a cronut at Five Daughters.
Pick up a new read at Landmark Booksellers, and then stroll down Main Street, popping in a few of the adorable shops along the way.
Puckett's Grocery Store - It has fabulous southern comfort food in a no-frills setting.
For Civil War buffs, visit the Carter House, where the Battle of Franklin was fought.
If that's not your scene, check out Arrington Vineyards for a wine tasting instead!
Head to GRAYS for dinner and drinks.
The Listening Room - It's one of the best venues for live music in Nashville! Check out the calendar beforehand to see what time their shows start.
SUNDAY
Pancake Pantry - The earlier you get there, the better. That line can get pretty long mid-morning.
Pinewood Social - The bowling lanes are the most notable feature at Pinewood, but they also have Bocce Ball and a swimming pool!
If you've gotta get your hot fried chicken fix, head to Hattie B's or McDougal's for lunch!
If it's nice out, rent a canoe or hike around the incredible state parks right outside the city!
Loveless Cafe - A Nashville staple, Loveless Cafe has been serving up homemade biscuits and jam for 50+ years. They make a mean Lynchburg Lemonade, too!
Grand Ole Opry - Still one thing I haven't done, but the little sister says it's a can't-miss!
MONDAY
Cheekwood - The estate's incredible gardens and architecture will leave you relaxed and refreshed.
Belle Mead Plantation - Although you can tour the plantation, it's also fun to just drive around and look at the pretty houses.
If you have time or want a free option, check out Vanderbilt! The campus is one of the most beautiful in the country.
The 12 South neighborhood has it all: The Draper James flagship store, Edley's BBQ, Jeni's Ice Cream, and the "I Believe in Nashville" sign.
Bluebird Cafe - Go, wait in line, and be prepared to be thoroughly entertained. It's worth it.
